Fast service, clean and updated atmosphere. Food was pretty good. Portions were large. Affordable lunch menu, too.

I know it's tough to be a small business working hard to make a living, however the sushi chef needs to be more observant: your fish should not smell bad. The tuna looked off and when I smelled it, all of the pieces were bad and had a green sheen on them. We wanted to enjoy some sushi, but instead lost our appetites. We live in an area of the GTA with a very heavy Asian demographic and sorry folks, but you do NOT know good sushi (referring to the reviews on here). We are hoping to not end up with a stomach upset or mild food poisoning tonight and suffice to say, we won't be back. Matsu, you have some quality issues to improve upon. Please pay closer attention for your customer's and business' sakes.

Delicious, fresh food, very friendly service! A little pricey, but it's worth it. Lunch specials are a great deal!

Superb quality, freshly prepared, fair price.

Hands down the best sushi around. The owners go out of their way to remember who you are and what you usually order. They have made sure my began wife is taken care of where no animal products are included with her meal. Very caring and will make sure to always pop in and say hi! Be prepared to pay for upscale sushi! Everything is so fresh!

Although we can't afford it all the time (God, to be wealthy and not a social scientist), it is our go-to special occasion place in Peterborough. The food is amazing; well plated and very fresh. Great rolls and excellent sashimi. The staff is incredibly friendly, especially the owner. He always greets every guest and really goes out of the way to make you feel welcome in the establishment. However, this place can get pretty busy

Always delicious food and wonderful friendly service. Always our #1 choice for Japanese food. Nice cozy atmosphere as well, and easy to access with very convenient parking. The prices are very reasonable as well.

Expensive but with large portions, good tasting food and friendly staff. The yakitori and gyoza were great! I would recommend coming for lunch rather than dinner if money is tight.

Very good service, food came out fast and the taste was pretty good. I think if you're looking for authentic Korean food in Peterborough, this is your best bet. They also offer Japanese food but we ordered mainly Korean food. Compared to Toronto, it was a little bit more salty than usual but overall, I recommend this place if you're looking for Asian food in Peterborough!

Mediocre food and service. My Sashimi came frozen and hand rolls were bland.Expected more after tearead all the great reviews.

Sorry, this is not the place that I can recommend. Maybe in a small town it's considered a good quality, though. Kalbi tasted great, but it wasn't washed from small sharp pieces of bones. One of the sushi rolls with cooked salmon in the center came with skin full of scales. It all was crusty inside and I had to wash my mouth after trying that. Green tea was so light, that you could feel the taste of tap water in it. The average impression - low quality, overpriced. I'd never come back again and that's not a place to recommend. The bill was more than a hundred bucks. In Toronto your experience of sushi for this amount of money would be excellent.

This restaurant is surely one of the most pleasant place in the area. Every time I come there I am exceedingly glad. They maintain their very high standard service and the topmost level of food they offer. You definitely will enjoy this this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Stopped on our way through town while on a road trip. Can't believe that they get away with charging that much for very average sushi. $26 for a vegetarian bento box. Really disappointed in thier pricing but it was the only place open nearby on a Monday...otherwise we would have left and gone elsewhere.

Won't ever go here. Guy who works there (runs it?) Is rude so I won't even bother trying his food!

Friendly and quick service, casual atmosphere. Lots of menu options, including Japanese and Korean dishes. Typical fare....some menu items are overpriced. (No change table in bathroom.)

Had bento box. Very good food. Very polite and friendly staff. The sushi chef greets everyone who enters as they enter from behind his counter and says good bye to everyone as they leave.

Really good food and great service!

Never again. Called asked for a mixed platter specifically telling them nothing raw, I get there to pick up, pay $50 and get a tray that 75% raw. Then proceeded to argue with me that it was my fault.
